Bridging theory and practice.

I enjoy building things and helping others build things that cultivate transformative approaches to making individuals and communities better. I have many of my own ideas, but I am generally idea agnostic. The how is for me just as if not more important than the what. I lead with curiosity and grit, and a methodology and philosophy that helps ensure that the end-product is what the people you serve actually want. That’s how the how part works. Ensuring the value is there. In bullet form:

  • I help mission-oriented organizations shape, launch, and mature new policies, programs, and initiatives.

  • I thrive in areas of uncertainty. I bring certainty and clarity and ultimately help de-risk any new venture.

  • I work across various lanes of “expertise”, bringing business and entrepreneurial principles, policy and advocacy acumen, and an understanding of the role of tech and data into an integrated approach for impact.

  • And I work in other things related to my professional direction: To help cultivate the future of public health.

Work with new clients is typically:

  • Short, focused sprints, typically 3 months

  • We take a nascent idea and we build it into a mature, validated, ready-to-go concept through iterations and direct customer and stakeholder engagements

  • In the end, you feel good not only about the end product, but about your ability to drive innovative efforts in the future

  • This short-term engagement also allows us to get to know each other without committing too much early on.

Other services include:

  • Research (white papers) at the intersection of public health + innovation

  • Open-innovation Design (challenges, prizes, et )

  • Policy strategy and research
